Tree Healthcare in Las Vegas

Tired of Guessing How to Keep Your Las Vegas Trees Thriving?

Maintaining the health and beauty of your trees in the unique Las Vegas climate can feel like a constant battle against the elements. You want your trees to flourish, providing shade and beauty, but the desert environment presents specific challenges that make year-round tree healthcare essential. Without a clear plan, it’s easy to miss crucial steps, leaving your trees vulnerable to pests, diseases, and the harsh Las Vegas heat.

Imagine a Year of Worry-Free Tree Healthcare

What if you had a proactive, month-by-month tree healthcare plan tailored specifically for your trees in our desert environment? Imagine healthy, vibrant trees that enhance your property’s beauty and stand strong against the Las Vegas climate.

Introducing the Benjamin's Tree Service Annual Healthy Tree Plan

We’ve developed a comprehensive, year-round tree care plan designed to keep your trees healthy and beautiful in Las Vegas. Our plan takes the guesswork out of tree care, providing you with a clear roadmap for success.

Here's What Our Annual Healthy Tree Plan Includes:

January: Inspection & Pruning

We’ll examine your trees for winter damage and prune deciduous trees while they’re dormant, removing dead, diseased, or crossing branches. It’s also a good time for planting bare-root deciduous trees.

February: Inspection, Fertilization & Mulching

We apply a slow-release, balanced fertilizer for a nutrient boost as trees emerge from dormancy. We’ll also refresh mulch around the base of your trees to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature. Deep watering is crucial, even in winter, and we’ll ensure mature trees are watered appropriately.

March: Inspection, Pest Monitoring & Increased Watering

We begin scouting for early signs of pests like aphids, scale, or spider mites. As temperatures rise, we’ll increase watering frequency, focusing on deep, less frequent watering to encourage strong root growth. We’ll also provide palm-specific fertilization for your palms.

April: Inspection, Pest Control & Sun Protection

If necessary, we’ll treat for pests using environmentally friendly options like insecticidal soap or neem oil. Young trees will receive protection from intense afternoon sun with shade cloth or strategic planting. We’ll continue to monitor soil moisture and adjust watering as needed.

May: Inspection, Deep Root Watering & Stress Monitoring

We ensure your trees receive enough water to reach deep roots, utilizing tools like deep root waterers or soaker hoses. We’ll also monitor for signs of heat stress like wilting or premature leaf drop. Heavy pruning is avoided during the hottest months, limiting it to dead or damaged branches.

June: Inspection, Deep Watering & Mulch Maintenance

We water deeply and frequently, especially during heat waves, often in the early morning or late evening to reduce evaporation. We’ll also check and replenish mulch levels, and continue monitoring for pests and diseases that thrive in hot weather.

July: Inspection, Summer Care & Palm Pruning

We continue with deep watering and pest monitoring. Dead fronds will be trimmed from palm trees in preparation for monsoon winds, and reproductive stalks will be removed. We avoid over-fertilization during these hottest months to prevent tree stress.

August: Inspection, Pre-Monsoon Prep & Drainage

We inspect trees for weak branches that could be damaged by monsoon winds. We also ensure proper drainage around trees to prevent root rot during monsoon rains.

September: Inspection, Post-Monsoon Inspection & Reduced Watering

We check for and promptly address any damage caused by monsoon storms. Watering frequency will be gradually reduced as temperatures cool down.

October: Inspection, Fall Fertilization & Soil Care

We apply a fall fertilizer to help trees prepare for winter dormancy. Soil aeration around trees will improve water and nutrient penetration.

November: Inspection, Leaf Cleanup & Winter Watering

We rake up fallen leaves from deciduous trees to prevent fungal diseases. Deep watering continues once or twice this month, depending on rainfall.

December: Inspection, Winter Protection & Holiday Lighting

Young or sensitive trees receive protection from frost damage with burlap wraps or blankets. If you decorate your trees, we’ll advise on using LED lights and avoiding branch damage.

Important Notes: This tree healthcare plan provides general guidelines, and specific tree species may have unique needs. Watering frequency is adjusted based on tree age, species, soil type, and weather conditions. Our monthly inspections ensure your trees are getting the attention they need.
